Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Holo — including Holo Profile, the ARK security protocol, and Holo Tap physical products.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Holo account, accessing any Holo page, or using any Holo feature (including public profile viewing, group participation, NFC tapping, and connector integrations), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Your Account & Identity

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information. Holo offers optional identity verification (NPI, W2, blockchain proof). Verified status is a trust signal — misrepresenting your identity or credentials may result in account suspension. You control what is public and what is private on your profile at all times.

3. Data & Privacy

Your use of Holo is governed by our Privacy Policy. You control what data is captured about you through our Consent Profile system — choose Minimal, Standard, or Full, or customize per category. Three parent categories (Engagement Analytics, Physical Interaction, Data Sharing) cascade to child categories, and any child can be individually revoked. Trust tiers (Anonymous, Connected, Verified) scale friction down as trust goes up, but visibility stays constant. We do not sell your data. We do not fingerprint your IP. You can export or delete your data at any time. Connected apps sync data only with your explicit opt-in, and you can pause data sync at any time without disconnecting your token.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you publish on Holo (profile text, portfolio items, signal wall posts, board cards, files, and comments). By publishing content, you grant Holo a license to display it on your profile and within groups you participate in. You can delete your content at any time. You agree not to publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringes intellectual property, or violates the rights of others.

5. Groups & Permissions

Group owners and admins are responsible for managing their group's membership, permissions, and content. Holo provides a five-tier permission system (viewer, editor, moderator, manager, admin) with scoped access controls. Group admins are responsible for ensuring that data shared within their group is appropriate for the group's membership and that connectors are configured with appropriate data handling practices.

6. Connectors & Integrations

When you connect an external service (Klaviyo, HubSpot, Google Calendar, Airtable, etc.), you grant Holo permission to access that service on your behalf using your credentials. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect and sync data from these services. Holo is not liable for data loss or issues caused by third-party API changes. You can disconnect any connector at any time — your token is revoked and data sync stops immediately.

7. Physical Products (Holo Tap)

If you purchase physical products (Holo Tap cards, badges, NFC devices), you own the physical artifact. The digital identity linked to that product remains governed by these Terms. Physical products are non-refundable once produced, except in cases of manufacturing defect. Tap events are intentional interactions — no passive tracking occurs through NFC or QR codes.

8. Identity Verification & ARK Protocol

Identity verification (W2, NPI, blockchain proofs) is optional and performed at your request. Verification data is used solely to produce a verified status and is never shared without your explicit, per-use consent. Verification proofs are cryptographic — we prove you are verified without revealing the underlying data.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use Holo to harass, stalk, or defame others; (b) attempt to access data you are not authorized to access; (c) use automated systems to scrape or overload the platform; (d) misrepresent your identity or credentials; (e) share your account credentials with others; (f) use Holo for any illegal purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

Holo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Holo in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for data loss caused by third-party connector failures or API changes.

11. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Account deletion removes all your data, profile content, group memberships, and connected app tokens. You cannot recover a deleted account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email and in-app notification. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Your data, your control
